Prevent auto-creation of customers
The WooCommerce Connector provides the capability to prevent the automatic creation of missing customers during order synchronization. The feature is disabled by default. When the setting is turned on and a customer with a matching webstore ID does not exist in Business Central, the WooCommerce Connector writes an error in the synchronization log instead of creating the customer automatically.
This feature supports stricter control over customer data by preventing unintended customer creation during order synchronization. Organizations with defined data governance processes can ensure that only approved and preconfigured customers exist in Business Central.
To prevent auto-creation of customers
Select Search (Alt+Q)
, enter woocommerce connector setup, and then choose the related link.The WooCommerce Connector Setup page opens.
If multiple setups exist, select the setup that you want to configure, and then on the action bar, select Manage > Edit.
The WooCommerce Connector Setup page opens.
On the Posting FastTab, in the Order section, turn on Prevent Customer Auto-Create.
